A final portfolio may be required for the course.  Check with the instructor for the current course requirements.

The final portfolio is a collection of your best work produced for the course, a culmination of your writing experiences for the course.  You will have choices as to which works to include in the portfolio.

Save EVERYTHING you write for the course, because you will be expected to show the process you have gone through to arrive at the finished products you submit in the portfolio.

It is a very good idea to make a hard copy and back-up copy of each assignment you word process; disks are notorious for their ability to self-destruct days or hours before the portfolio due date.
