During the Summer of 2004 to 2006, the Physics Department hosted an DoD-funded, NSF-run REU program that placed students in research groups at Wright State University, the Air Force Institute to Technology and several laboratories at the Air Force Research Laboratory.

 

Due to the competitive nature of the program and limited funding, we have not been able to renew the site.  We thank both the DoD and the NSF for providing previous funds that allowed nearly 40 students to participate in research experiences.  We will continue to try and renew our funding.

 

We have been able to develop other programs that are based on funding from the AFRL and other exciting programs exist in the Dayton area.  Please visit www.wright.edu/academics/physics/reu.html to find out the details.
