About the Physics Department

At Wright State University, we strive to provide a friendly yet challenging learning and research environment so that our students are prepared to either take on employment or further their studies. As an undergraduate student, you have a wide variety of programs from straight physics to concentrations in computation, nanotechnology, and education. As a graduate student, you can choose between a Master's in Physics or a Master's of Science in Teaching or an interdisciplinary PhD. Our faculty not only teach but carry out pioneering research in a wide variety of areas such as atmospheric science, biophysics, geophysics, nanotechnology, semiconductors and superconductors.
