The Wright State University Opera Theater performs literature from standard opera to operetta. As part of the vocal curriculum, the opera workshop is designed to give Wright State students the opportunity to perform staged works including aria and scene recitals, one act operas, and full length works. During the Spring of 2006, Giacomo Puccini's, Gianni Schicchi and Gian Carlo Menotti's The Medium were performed. Future plans include an Evening of Opera Scenes in November 2006 and Mozart's The Magic Flute in May 2007.

The opera workshop is under the direction of Dr. Kimberly Warrick, Associate Professor of Music at Wright State University.
