Undergraduate Application Process
Becoming a Music student is somewhat different than becoming a traditional college student; there are several additional steps involved in the process. Look at all of the instructions below and on the pages linked to this one to insure you complete all of the needed steps to successfully become a Department of Music student. This process applies to all students who wish to earn a degree in the Department of Music: a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, Music History and Literature, or Performance; a Bachelor of Arts in Music; or a Minor in Music.
- To begin the process of becoming a student of the Department of Music,
review the Audition Requirements. This page gives
you an outline of what is needed to apply to the Department of Music. Please
read this before you proceed to the next step.
- To be a student of the Department of Music, you must also apply and be
accepted into Wright State University. To apply
to Wright State University, go to wright.edu/admissions.
- Once you have applied to the university, you must apply for admission
to the Department of Music. Go to the Undergraduate Application to apply to the Department of Music. The application is to be filled out online and submitted.
- Contact the Department of Music to schedule an audition date and time.

- Print three (3) Recommendation Forms to
distribute to three (3) people who can comment on your musical ability. To

- Complete your Audition Repertoire Card online; this lists the pieces you
will perform at your audition. Go to the Audition
Repertoire Card to submit this item online.
