Details
All scholarship recipients are required to be registered as full-time students and to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. The first quarter a student's cumulative GPA drops below 3.0, a warning is issued. The scholarship may be terminated if the student's GPA falls below 3.0 for a second quarter. All recipients are expected to plan their schedules in close consultation with the Honors Program. This means meeting annually to plan a program of study and reporting any quarterly deviations. Students must earn As or Bs in Honors courses to count them toward the minimum number required by the terms of their scholarships or the number required for graduation with an Honors Degree. Students who earn Cs in Honors courses may count these hours toward graduation and toward fulfilling university or major requirements. Scholarship funds for payment of tuition and fees will not be released for students who fail to comply with any of these procedures. An Honors Scholarship Appeals Committee will review a decision to terminate a scholarship at either the student's or the director's request. Senior students must present evidence of their acceptance into their departmental Honors Program before they charge fall quarter tuition to their scholarship.
