University Honors Program Designations
Wright State University will move to a semester calendar beginning Fall 2012. The requirements outlined below relate to the current quarter calendar. For more information on the University Honors Program's semester requirements for new and continuing students, please review the Honors Semester Transition web page or the approved Honors Semester Plan.
University Honors Scholar
- Complete six lower-level Honors courses with a grade of A or B. Three of the six must count for General Education, one of which must be a UH 201, 202, or 203.
- Complete two UH 400 seminars with a grade of A or B.
- Complete an Honors project and/or course requirements in the major. Entrance and GPA requirements vary. (See Section 3.3.2 of the Honors Student Handbook and consult major office for additional details.)
Departmental Honors
- Complete an Honors project and/or course requirements in the major. Entrance and GPA requirements vary. (See Section 3.3.2 of the Honors Student Handbook and consult major office for additional details, including recommended start date for Honors project.)
General Studies Honors Scholar
- Complete six lower-level Honors courses with a grade of A or B. Three of the six must count for General Education, one of which must be a UH 201, 202, or 203.
- Complete two UH 400 seminars with a grade of A or B.
- Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher at the time of graduation (for students admitted Fall 2006 to the present).
