Celebrity Cookbook Fundraiser

For this project, Jonathan Nieves and Ashley Wenner compiled a community cookbook to be sold to raise much-needed funds for Partners for Community Living.

In order to make their cookbook more unique and desirable, they acquired recipes form local celebrities. Working with Partners for Community Living, they started by obtaining addresses of prominent members in the Dayton area and composing a letter requesting that they share their favorite recipe.

While waiting for the recipes to start coming in, they wrote another letter to the clients and staff of Partners for Community Living, inviting them to also share recipes. Finally, the group generated possible cookbook titles, formats, and ideas about where to sell the completed cookbook.

Included among those who shared their recipes is the Mayor of Dayton, Rhine McLin; Cheryl McHenry, an anchor for WHIO TV, a local news station; several members of the Cincinnati Bengals; as well as faculty and staff from Wright State University, etc.

To learn more about ordering the cookbook, please contact Partners for Community Living at their website.
