Career ServicesWright State offers students comprehensive career development and employment assistance. Services include help with acquiring on-campus and off-campus student employment, internships, cooperative education positions, and full-time positions upon graduation; career exploration through the LA 201-Effective Career Planning course; and individual appointments addressing career planning and job-search assistance. Career Services provides opportunities and resources for students to investigate major and career possibilities through career and job fairs, the Career Resource Center, and an interactive computer guidance system, SIGI Plus. To assist with the job search, The Wright Search, a Web-based program for job postings and resumé referral service, is used for linking students with employers who are seeking job candidates. The Wright Search is also used for scheduling on-campus interviews. Career Services professionals help students prepare for the job search through mock interviews, resumé and cover letter reviews, and job search strategy building sessions.
