Wright State UniversitySchool of Graduate StudiesThe School of Graduate Studies has the authority to grant graduate degrees at Wright State University. In addition, it shares responsibility for the administration of all graduate programs in the university with the discipline-focused colleges and schools and their academic departments, and administers all graduate academic and admission policies as developed and approved by the Graduate Council. The graduate school also helps develop new programs and maintains appropriate standards for graduate-level programs. The administrative services of the school are provided by the graduate school office, consisting of the dean and vice president for research, the assistant dean and director of graduate admissions and records, and their staff. The School of Graduate Studies had a total enrollment of over 3,400 students in the fall quarter of 2005, 48 percent of them part-time. In addition, 514 students were enrolled in the Schools of Medicine and Professional Psychology. The graduate school offers five Ph.D. programs, 43 master's degree programs, and one post-master's educational specialist degree program through Wright State's colleges and schools.
