Student Organizations
Through involvement in student clubs and
societies in the College of Science and Mathematics,
students can develop closer ties with other students
in the same major. A variety of clubs and societies
are available to students within the college:
- For biological sciences majors: the Biology Club,
Environmental Sciences Club, and Sigma Xi
Honor Society
- For chemistry majors: the Chemistry Club (student
affiliate of the American Chemical Society)
- For geological sciences majors: student chapters of
the American Association of Petroleum Geologists
and the Society for Exploration Geophysicists,
American Institute of Professional Geologists, and
Sigma Gamma Epsilon Honor Society
- For physics majors: the Physics Club and Sigma
Pi Sigma Honor Society
- For psychology majors: the Psychology Club and
Psy Chi Honor Society
- For students interested in medical school: the
Premedical Society
