Qualification of Radiologic Technologists in North America for the Test-Retest Reliability of Measurements of the Tibiofemoral Joint Space Width in Subjects with Osteoarthritis of the Knee

The protocol for this project is designed to train radiologic technologists in performing a special radiographic procedure to allow quantitative assessment of the joint space in the knee. Technologists who will be involved in taking radiographs for the clinical trial in knee osteoarthritis (link) in North America participate in this training. This involves taking repeat radiographs of five subjects with knee osteoarthritis after fluoroscopic positioning, with the goal to align the Tibial margins to the center ray of the x-ray beam. It is expected that the joint space width measured based on these radiographs would not deviate by more than 0.5 mm with this technique.
