NOTE: All application material should be sent to the Graduate School and not the BMS PhD Program.
Please follow the steps listed below.

You can apply online through the Graduate School's website. NOTE: If you have already applied to a graduate program at Wright State, you will not have to pay another applicaiton fee. Print the application, and mail it in or drop it off at the Graduate School. If you apply online, it will force you to pay the fee.
Follow the instructions on the form, using
the following notes and additions to guide you.

Admission to the BMS PhD Program is for the following Fall semester only.

Forms and information are provided through the University
Center for International Education.
- Academic Information
Your selected program (line 3) is Biomedical Sciences / 481.
On line 4 (major/concentration), put the BMS Area
of Concentration that most interests you. If you have a
more specific interest - a research area, professor, department,
etc. - indicate that also.
If you are applying as a part time or an MD/PhD degree seeking
seeking student, use the Personal Comments section of the form
to elaborate. To be considered for the MD/PhD program you must
apply to, and be accepted by both the Boonshoft School of Medicine
and the BMS PhD Program. You must submit your applications through both the Graduate School and Boonshoft School of Medicine.
- References
- Three persons acquainted with your work must submit a BMS Program Recommendation Form and a letter on your behalf. The letter should explain how the person knows you and evaluate your readiness for graduate school (quality of work, maturity and motivation). The person making the recommendation should mail the form and their letter to the Program Office. Download the BMS PhD Program Recommendation forms or request several from the Program Office
Complete the applicant information at the top of EACH form.
Give a form, already signed by you, to each person writing a letter.
Provide an envelope addressed to the Graduate School.
- Statement of Objectives.
- Write a one-page
letter to the Director of the BMS PhD Program.
In it, give DETAILS about your:
Interest(s) in science
Accomplishments in science
Other interests, aptitudes or accomplishments that indicate
you are prepared for graduate study
Specific interest
in this program
Goal(s)
Mail
the Graduate School Application form, with the Statement of Objectives
letter attached, to the Graduate School at the address
on the form, or submit online directly to that office.
(NOT the BMS Program)
Send transcripts
from all the colleges and universities you have attended to the
Graduate School. The
address is on the Application for Admission to a Graduate Program
form (above).
To
Summarize:
ALL APPLICANTS (including International Students): Mail your
application for admission, with statement
of objectives letter attached, to the Graduate School.
ALL APPLICANTS (including International Students): Send all
official transcripts to the Graduate School.
REFERENCES: Three letters of recommendation must
be mailed to the Graduate School by the person who
has written them.
INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS: Send your financial statement
information with your application.
Financial
aid. No application for financial support is required. All successful
applicants are considered for BMS assistantships and fellowships.
Complete applications are considered by the Admissions Committee beginning in January of each calendar year. Either telephone or on-site interviews are scheduled at the discretion of the committee.
All materials are due by March 1 for consideration for the following
academic fall semester.
