Welcome to Wright State University Raider AROTC Battalion - developing leaders for our country's national defense!

WSU Raider Battalion promotes ROTC leadership development by actively recruiting, retaining and training qualified cadets focused on Scholars, Athletes, and Leaders--for commissioning in Active, Reserve and National Guard components of the United States Army to provide selfless service to the nation and support the JROTC program in developing better citizens, future leaders and community support.  Click on the links or call us to find out more information.

Army ROTC and Wright State University offer a variety of merit-based scholarships and incentives for AROTC cadets. Currently every Junior and Senior WSU AROTC student receives a tax-free stipend of $450 or $500 per month, respectively. Many freshmen and sophomore scholarship cadets receive a full financial aid package worth over $14,000 per year.

Typical scholarships and incentives pay for:

  • Tuition and all required fees
  • $1200 per year for books (cadets receive $400 per quarter except nursing cadets receive full amount in the fall quarter)
  • A monthly tax-free tiered stipend starting at $300.00 for freshman that increases each subsequent year with seniors receiving $500 per month during the school year

Here is a guide which contains information for prospective students on how to apply for scholarships and provides an overview of the Army ROTC experience.  WSU ROTC guide for prospective students
