On Campus Scholarship Program

The Campus-Based Scholarship Program (or CBSP) provides scholarship opportunities for qualified Wright State students. We have two, three and three and half year scholarships which provide:

  • Tuition and all required fees
  • $1200 per year for books (paid in $400 installations per quarter)
  • A monthly tax-free tiered stipend between $300.00 for Freshman to $500 for Seniors
  • Eligibility to apply for a WSU room and board incentive
  • Three year Advanced Designated scholarship winners (generally incoming Freshmen) qualify for a WSU tuition incentive for their freshmen year which isn’t covered by the AROTC national scholarship

How do I qualify for an Army ROTC scholarship? We are interesting in students with Scholars, Athletes, and Leaders attributes or what we call “SALs”. These students are naturally attracted to what our program offers in training, scholarships, future job opportunities to make an immediately difference in the world, and career options beyond graduation. Frankly, students with these attributes make the best commissioned officer for our nation’s Army. In essence this means an individual who is a good student (CGPA 3.0 or higher), physically fit, and possesses leadership potential, e.g. self-disciplined, a good follower, medically qualified, high moral and ethical standards, etc. We recommend that you take a Military Science class first to determine your interest and aptitude in Army ROTC. Remember, enrollment in a freshman or sophomore AROTC course does not incur any military obligation unless you are on scholarship after your freshmen year. Basically, it is a risk-free trial!

If you would like more information or are interested in applying for an CBSP scholarship, give us a call. Deadline for three-year scholarship and two-year scholarship applications are April 1 and June 1, respectively.
