Wright State University Definition of Service-Learning
Service-Learning at Wright State University is a teaching and learning pedagogy that engages faculty, students, and community members in a partnership to:
- Achieve academic learning objectives
- Meet community needs
- Promote civic responsibility
Students involved in service in the community must complete two forms: a Risk Release and Medical Consent Form and a Student Service-Learning Agreement. These forms must be submitted to the Office of Service Learning in 128 Millett before students begin service. It is also a good idea for students to retain copies of these documents for themselves and for you or the site supervisor to have copies.
Please note: Students need to complete only one Risk Acknowledgment form. Select the one listed below that is appropriate for your course and project.
