Wright State University, in collaboration with other Ohio institutions, public and private, 2-year and 4-year, will host a statewide "semesters summit" on October 14, 2009 in the Student Union of Wright State University.

All institutions currently moving to a semester based calendar are invited to send a team of representatives to the summit to share ideas, plans and processes, triumphs and challenges, etc, so that we can all learn from each other as we move forward. We are inviting representatives from institutions that have already completed the transition so that we can learn from their experience.

Registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 7:30 AM. The program will officially begin at 8:30 a.m. with welcome remarks from Dr. David R. Hopkins, President, Wright State University, followed by a semester talk (Guidance from the OBR for Semesters Conversion) from Dr. Paula Compton of the Ohio Board of Regents, and a panel discussion - "The Do's and Don'ts of Semester Conversion".

Registration Deadline is Friday, October 9, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.

Concurrent sessions will be offered, beginning mid-morning and continuing in the afternoon, in four broad thematic area.:
