Accreditation & Assessment

Assessment Champions

Assessment is an ongoing, dynamic process that involves substantial participation of faculty and staff across the university’s Dayton and Lake campuses. To sustain the university’s capacity to engage in meaningful and effective assessment practices that help faculty and staff understand, confirm, and improve student learning, the following leaders serve as resources and oversee the assessment of student learning in general education, academic programs, and co-curricular learning experiences.

Assurance of Learning Committee assists with the development and implementation of plans for assessing student learning outcomes in academic, general education, and co-curricular programs and oversees the periodic comprehensive review of academic programs. Membership includes at least one faculty member and one administrator (dean or dean's designee) from each college.

Faculty Senate Core Oversight Committee is responsible for ensuring assessment of the Wright State general education Core student learning outcomes.

Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness provides official, accurate, and unbiased information and analysis about the university in support of institutional planning, decision-making, and reporting obligations.
