V. Old Business

1-Human Resources
The open forum was held March 19th. The event was well attended. At the request of HR, the session was not recorded. The written responses to submitted questions have not been received yet. Written responses were to be posted on our web site in lieu of a recording of the forum.

2-Charitable Organizations
We will conduct a raffle at the Retiree/Faculty/Staff Picnic. Linda and Susan will coordinate the raffle. Others will need to help out.

3-USAC Elections
Mark Anderson and Greg worked with Chris Roberts in CTL to set up a test of a nomination ballot. There was a problem getting a staff person set up as a student in WebCT. Whether we proceed electronically or on paper, we need to determine who is in which constituency. The file provided by HR does not separate them.

The topic of two constituencies was discussed again. After discussion, it was decided John Sheidler would speak to Robert Sweeny about the matter.

4-Responsibilities of Council Members, Committee Members and Officers
Changes were suggested for the page describing what council members do.

5-Inaugural Committee
Barb Bullock is on the committee. Robert Sweeny is the chair. They are looking for community involvement in the event. It will be October 4-6, 2007. There are currently plans for a concert and ball in addition the to inaugural event.

VI. New Business

1-President's Award for Excellence
The annual program has been announced. The deadline is April 27th. This will be added to our events list on the USAC home page.

2-Sustainability Presentation
Brad Turner and Edward Gemin presented at a roundtable on sustainability. The presentation was excellent. They will be asked to present at the next USAC meeting.

3-President's Reception for USAC members
Please hold June 6 at 4pm on your calendars.

4-Manager's Guide to Unclassified Compensation Administration
This is now official and posted on the HR web site under Compensation.

Don't forget that vacation truncation takes effect again this year.

The meeting was adjourned by John Sheidler, USAC Chair at 9:30 am.
