The meeting was called to order by John Sheidler, USAC Chair at 8:30 am.

II. Approval of Minutes for February 8, 2007
The minutes were approved as presented.
III. Committee Reports
1-Athletic Council - Pam Berry-Griffis, Gary Sutton
Coach's corner was Mike Tracy, Head Coach for Men's Soccer. Fall grade report was presented. Average was higher than the general student body. President Hopkins was present and very supportive of the athletic program. President Hopkins will work to improve media coverage of WSU. NCAA is investigating the use of male practice players for women's basketball. Men's Soccer won the Horizon League title. Women's Soccer placed third.
2-University Diversity Advocacy Council - Jay Peterson
The University is trying to make more awareness of Quest Week this year.
3-Parking Services - Mike Coyle
There is still discussion about faculty parking.
There are three different parking proposals currently.
4-University Dining Services - Karin Nevius
There will be a customer survey in late March or early April. If the University is delayed due to inclement weather, only the Union Market will be open. The Hanger is being renovated to accommodate Skyline Chili. They are still considering Burger King.
5-University Staff Council - Mendy Beverly, Barb Bullock, Greg Kojola, John Sheidler
Parental Leave was approved.
March meeting will be on capital projects.
6-Wellness and Recreation - Sheryl Kent
No report for Wellness and Rec due to cancelled meeting.
V. Old Business
The open forum will be March 19th at 1:30 in 101 White Hall. Setup will be at 1. Please try to be there and submit questions. The agenda will be:

Wellness & Rec and Retiree Association will be approached about a possible raffle at the annual Faculty/Staff/Retiree Picnic.
It has been learned that the email sent from WINGS is plain text only. We need to remember to spell out any URLs or email addresses. There have been two emails that have gone out successfully, so it would appear the one that had problems was just a random occurrence.
Online nominations and voting will be researched. A proposal will be presented to John Sheidler by March 23rd. If we do online nominations and voting, a paper notice will be sent out also.
VI. New Business
The Human Resources Open Forum on March 19th will serve as our annual spring meeting.
2-Responsibilities of Council Members, Committee Members and Officers
Greg Kojola has started drafting information to help inform people what is involved in participating in the various aspects of USAC. He hopes to have things completed prior to nominations this year.
John Sheidler attended the University Strategic Planning Committee meeting on February 21.
There has been lots of positive feedback. Winterfest will probably be continued instead of the Holiday Party. Mrs Hopkins sent a nice Thank You card.
Barb Bullock will be serving on the committee.
