Serves as principal officer and spokesperson for College of Education and Human Services; reports to the Provost and works with other Wright State University Deans to formulate and implement university policy.  Supervises departmental chairs and faculty in formulating and implementing college goals and policy.  Responsible for strategic planning, program development, faculty/staff/student development; resource allocation and budget management, research promotion; fund raising; enrollment management; collegiate partnership initiatives; diversity awareness and planning and relations with external constituencies.    Participates in national discussions of educational renewal and maintains a leadership role in relationships with regional education entities and other external constituencies.   Provides leadership for Wright State University's involvement in the Dayton Regional STEM School (DRSS).


An earned doctorate, rank of full professor.   Record of professional accomplishments and scholarship that meet the qualifications for appointment to the rank of professor in the college. Strong and sustained record of teaching excellence and interdisciplinary initiatives. Strong and sustained record of research and creative accomplishments.  Substantial administrative personnel and budgetary experience. Evidence of a commitment to and success securing eternal funding.  Evidence of a strong commitment to helping students obtain a broad-based education. Evidence in curriculum development including a commitment to collaboration and innovative pedagogies. Evidence of strong interpersonal and communications skills with faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members.   Demonstrated ability to manage a complex academic organization and work effectively with colleagues across divisions.  Evidence of effective community involvement, outreach, leadership, and demonstrated ability to forge partnerships and build productive relationships with both campus and business community constituencies.   Evident of recruitment and retention of a diverse faculty and staff, as well as team building, supervision, and staff support for professional development.
