Larry R. Klaben
Chair
Larry R. Klaben was appointed to Wright State University Board of Trustees for a term ending June 30, 2016, replacing Robert Nevin.
Klaben is president/CEO of Morris Furniture Company, Inc. Klaben is a graduate of Wright State and has served on various boards and committees over the years, including the Liberal Arts Community Advisory Board and the committee for ArtsGala, to name a few. He has also served on the WSU Foundation Board, as well as chaired the university-wide Corporate Appeal in 2005. He has been actively engaged with United Way, Children's Medical Center, Coats for Kids, Mercy Manor, the Human Race Theatre Company, and the Dayton Jewish Federation.
Klaben's company was selected as the National Home Furnishings Association "Retailer of the Year" in 2008 for retailers with sales over $10 million. In 2004 it was selected the Company of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Klaben holds a B.A. in urban studies from Wright State University and a Master of Public Administration from the American University in Washington, D.C. Larry and his wife, Marilyn, reside in Dayton with their three children.
Term ends 2016.
