Jagdish D. Kulkarni, M.D., is a renowned physician, psychiatrist, and businessman. Dr. Kulkarni was appointed to the Wright State University Board of Trustees in 2010, replacing J. Thomas Young.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Kulkarni completed his medical degree at Bombay University and completed his post-graduate training at Yale University and affiliated hospitals before becoming a member of the university's faculty. After practicing medicine through 1995, Dr. Kulkarni founded, owned, and operated several other businesses.

Dr. Kulkarni serves on the Board of Jumpstart, a private-public venture capital company in northeast Ohio. In the past, he has served on the Board of Indiana Children's Trust Fund, Indianapolis Museum of Art, International School of Indianapolis, and various other health care related companies.

Dr. Kulharni is also the author of Invisible Woman, I to I: Invisibility to Invincibility, a book he wrote in memory of his wife, Jayashree.
