More than 40 student teams will battle one another in the Ohio Robotics 2014 Spring Xtreme BOTS Competition. Students design and build remote-controlled robots to see whose skills prevail. Organized by Ohio Robotics, Inc., the day also features a Manufacturing Career Exhibit to encourage students to study science, technology, engineering, or math for exciting careers in manufacturing.
The event is open to the public. Tickets are $5 at the door.
Fady Al-Banna is thriving as a student leader and finance major at Wright State, just a few years after his family fled his native Iraq.
Al-Banna and his brother are part of the growing number of international students at Wright State. The international student population at the university increased by 42 percent last fall and currently represents more than 60 countries.
